Embedding a Registration Widget

Embeddable Registration Widget

Overview

The Embeddable Widget allows event organizers to display the Zoho Backstage ticket registration interface directly on an external website. Instead of redirecting attendees to the Zoho Backstage event website, organizers can embed either the full ticket listing or a registration button within their own website.

Embedding the registration widget helps streamline the ticket purchasing process by allowing attendees to register without leaving the website they are already visiting. This is particularly useful for organizers who host their event websites on external platforms such as Zoho Sites, WordPress, Webflow, or custom HTML websites.

Zoho Backstage also provides customization options that allow organizers to adjust the appearance of the widget so it aligns with the design and branding of their website.

Setting Up the Embeddable Widget

To embed a ticket registration form on your website:
  1. Navigate to Manage > Promote > Embeddable Widget from the Dock.
Alternatively, you can access it from Registrations > Setup > Embeddable Widget.
  2. Under Registration Embed, choose a Widget Type:
    1. Ticket Listing – Displays the complete ticket listing and registration form directly within your website.
    2. Register Ticket – Displays a customizable button that redirects attendees to the ticket registration page.
  3. Customize the Button Design to match your website’s theme or branding.
    1. Background Color – Defines the background color of the registration button. Choose a color that aligns with your website’s primary or accent colors.
    2. Text Color – Determines the color of the text displayed on the button. Select a color that contrasts clearly with the background for better readability.
    3. Border Color – Sets the outline color of the button. This can match the background color for a solid style or use a different color for emphasis.
  4. If you selected the Register Ticket widget type, enter the Label for the button.
    1. Label – Specifies the text displayed on the button, such as Register Now, Get Tickets, or Book Your Seat. Choose a clear call-to-action that encourages attendees to start the registration process.
  5. Customize the Header Design if required.
    1. Show Header – Enable this option to display a header section above the ticket listing.
    2. Background Color – Defines the background color of the header area. Choose a color that complements your website or event branding.
    3. Text Color – Determines the color of the header text. Select a contrasting color to ensure the content remains clearly visible.
  6. Configure additional display options based on your preference:
    1. Event Date – Displays the event date within the widget.
    2. Event Venue – Displays the event location.
    3. Registration Process – Shows the registration steps above the ticket listing area.
    4. Zoho Backstage Branding – Displays Zoho Backstage branding within the widget.
  7. Use the Preview panel on the right side of the screen to review how the widget will appear on your website.
  8. Once the configuration is complete, click Copy next to the Embed Code field.
  9. Paste the copied code into the HTML of the webpage where you want the widget to appear.
After embedding the code and publishing your webpage, the Zoho Backstage registration widget will appear on your website, allowing attendees to register for tickets directly from that page.
