Overview
Ticket classes allow you to define different types of registrations for your event. By creating multiple ticket classes, organizers can offer varied pricing, access levels, and purchasing limits for attendees.
For example, you can create ticket classes such as Early Bird, General Admission, VIP, or Student Pass. Each ticket class can have its own price, sales schedule, purchase limits, and visibility settings.
Ticket classes help you control how tickets are sold, displayed, and managed on your event website.
Understanding Ticket Statuses
Ticket status indicators help organizers quickly identify the availability of each ticket class in the Ticket Class dashboard.
Open
- The Open status indicates that tickets are currently available for purchase.
- This status appears when:
- Ticket sales have started
- The ticket class status is set to Open
- Tickets are still available for purchase
Yet to Start
- The Yet to Start status indicates that ticket sales have not begun.
- This occurs when the sales start date and time is scheduled for a future time. The ticket class automatically becomes Open once the sales period begins.
Sold Out
- The Sold Out status indicates that no tickets are available for purchase.
- This happens when:
- All tickets in the ticket class have been purchased, or
- The ticket class has been manually marked as sold out.
Closed
- The Closed status indicates that ticket sales have been stopped manually.
- The ticket class will no longer accept purchases but may still remain visible on the event website depending on its visibility settings.
Understanding Ticket Visibility Settings
- Ticket visibility settings control whether a ticket class appears on the event website.
- These settings can be configured when creating or editing a ticket class.
Always Visible
- The ticket class is always displayed on the event website.
- Attendees can view the ticket whenever ticket sales are open.
Always Hidden
- The ticket class will not appear on the public event website.
- However, hidden tickets can still be accessed using a valid access code.
- This option is useful for:
- VIP invitations
- Private registrations
- Sponsor passes
- Internal tickets
Hide When Conditions Are Met
- This option hides tickets automatically when certain conditions occur.
- Available conditions include:
- Ticket sales haven’t begun
- Ticket is sold out
- Ticket sales have ended
- Ticket class status is closed
- These conditions help keep the ticket listing clean by showing only relevant tickets to attendees.
