Ticket Grouping

Overview

Ticket groups allow organizers to organize multiple ticket classes under a single category. Grouping tickets helps structure your ticket listings so attendees can easily browse related ticket options on the event website. For example, you can group Student, Faculty, and Researcher tickets under an Academic Passes group, or organize Early Bird, Regular, and Last Minute tickets under a General Admission group.

Using ticket groups improves the readability of your ticket page and helps attendees quickly identify the most relevant ticket options during registration.

Adding a Ticket Group

Creating a ticket group allows you to bundle related ticket classes under a single heading. This makes your ticket listings more organized and helps attendees quickly navigate between different ticket options. For example, you might group discounted tickets such as Student and Educator passes under a Special Entry group, while keeping standard tickets under a General Admission group.
  1. Navigate to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the Dock.
  2. Click Add Ticket Group. The Add Ticket Group side panel will appear.

  3. Enter a group Name.
  4. Provide a Description if needed.
  5. Select the ticket classes to include in the group.
  6. Click Create.
The selected ticket classes will now appear under the new ticket group.

Editing a Ticket Group

You can edit a ticket group if you want to update its name, description, or modify the ticket classes included in the group. This is useful when your event ticket structure changes or when you want to reorganize how tickets are presented on the event website.
  1. Navigate to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the Dock.
  2. Click Edit Group at the top right of the ticket group. The Edit Ticket Group side panel will appear.

  3. Update the group name, description, or included ticket classes.
  4. Click Update to save your changes

Deleting a Ticket Group

If a ticket group is no longer required, you can remove it from your ticket listing. Deleting a group does not remove the ticket classes it contains; the tickets will simply return to the main ticket class list. This option is helpful when you want to reorganize ticket categories or simplify your ticket page.
  1. Navigate to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the Dock.
  2. Open the dropdown menu at the top right of the ticket group.
  3. Click Delete Group.
  4. Confirm deletion in the dialog box.
Deleting a ticket group does not delete the ticket classes inside the group. The tickets will simply return to the main ticket list.

Copying Ticket Group ID

Each ticket group is assigned a unique Ticket Group ID. This identifier can be used for integrations, widgets, or when referencing specific ticket groups in event configurations.
  1. Navigate to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the Dock.
  2. Open the dropdown menu at the top right of the ticket group.
  3. Click Copy Ticket Group ID.
The ID will be copied to your clipboard.

Copying Ticket Group URL

You can generate and share a direct URL for a ticket group. This link takes attendees directly to a specific group of tickets on the event website, making it easier to promote or distribute certain ticket categories. For example, you can share a link that directs attendees straight to Student tickets or VIP passes.
  1. Navigate to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the Dock.
  2. Open the dropdown menu at the top right of the ticket group.
  3. Select Copy URL.
You can now share this link with attendees through email campaigns, social media, or promotional materials.
