Exporting Data

Exporting Data

Users can now export data from Bigin's modules in .ZIP files and access the data in .CSV file format. For example, let's say you only want to download a customer's details, such as their name, phone, address, and email address. In that case, you can use this feature to download only specific fields instead of all other information as well. This will help you make more effective and concise reports.

You can export the fields in three different ways.

To export data from Data Administration

  1. Go to Settings > Data Administration > Export Data.
  2. From the dropdown list, select the module from which you would like to export the data.
  3. Choose a view. All the data from that view will then be available for export.
  4. Next, choose the fields you wish to export.

  5. You can choose fields via the following options:
    1. All fields: Export all the fields available for the selected module.
    2. Fields from the chosen view: Export only the fields available in the view you've chosen.
    3. Choose fields: Export only the specific fields you choose.

  6. Click Export.

To export from a view

  1. Click on the more icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Export this view.

  3. Repeat all the steps outlined in the Data Administration section above.

Limitations

  1. Custom views with default multiline text fields set as criteria cannot be exported.
  2. In a single day, you have the option to perform:
    1. 10 exports with Free/Trial accounts
    2. 100 exports with Express/Premier/Bigin 360/ZohoOne accounts

Notes

  1. You can also download notes from each module by choosing a parent module for the notes. For example, to download notes for the Pipelines module, set the module as Notes and set Pipelines as the parent module.

  2. The export link will be available for seven days, and you'll be notified about the link via a pop-up. You can also find the link in the Data Administration page.
