Some important points to note before you migrate from Insightly to Bigin,

1. Bigin supports up to 10 custom fields/module in Express edition and up to 25 custom fields/module in Premier edition. The number of custom fields that can be migrated from Insightly depends on the custom fields that you have in Bigin. For example, if you already have six custom fields created in Bigin, only 4 custom fields can be migrated from Insightly for Express edition.
   
2. If a custom field is already created with the same name and type as that of the field in Insightly then data will be migrated seamlessly to that field in Bigin. Otherwise, a new custom field will be created in Bigin during the migration.
   
3. Up to 10 tags/module can be imported during the migration for an Express edition and up to 30 tags/module for a Premier edition. The number of tags that can be migrated from Insightly depends on the tags that you have in Bigin. For example, if you already have five tags in Bigin, only 5 tags can be migrated from Insightly for Express edition.
   
4. Bigin supports migration of up to 5 users in Express edition and up to 20 users in Premier edition. Once migration is completed, the users can be found under Invited users tab in Bigin and have to be re-invited to join the Bigin account. For example, if you already have 5 users created in Bigin, then the users from Insightly will be migrated but you cannot re-invite them as the user limit is already reached for Express edition.
   
5. Bigin supports 25 sub-pipelines from Insightly during the migration provided the edition specific sub-pipeline limit in that account is not exceeded.
   
6. Bigin supports 250 stages from Insightly during the migration provided the edition specific stages limit in that account is not exceeded.
   
7. After the migration if the total record count exceeds the 1 lakh limit in Premier edition and 50K limit in Express edition, then they can purchase an additional records as add-on to increase the limit. Additional records can be purchased until the account reaches 1 million records.
   

Migrate from Insightly

1. Get API Token from Insightly  
   
2. Initiate migration in Bigin

To get API token from Insightly

1. Log in to your Insightly account.
   
2. Click the account profile icon and then go to User Settings.
   
3. In the User Settings page, under API key, copy the API token.
   
   
   

To initiate the migration from Insightly

1. Go to Settings > Data Administration > Import.
   
2. In the Data Migration page, do the following:
   
1. Choose Insightly
   
   
2. Enter the API Token.
   
   
3. The instance URL will be auto-populated.
   
   
3. Choose a target Team Pipeline from the available options and click Import Now.
   
4. ​You will be notified when the migration is complete via a pop-up and an email.
   

View migration details  

To view Import history

1. Go to Setup > Data Administration > Import > Import History.
   Import History will display the number of records that are imported, as well as the user who initiated the migration process.
2. Click to view the number of records skipped or added.
   
   

Undo migration

1. Go to Setup > Data Administration > Import History
   
2. Hover over the Insightly row to view the more icon.
   
   
3. Click Undo this import.
