Integrating with Constant Contact

Constant Contact helps small businesses engage with customers and extend their outreach with their email marketing tools. With this integration, you can sync the contacts between your pipeline tool (Bigin) and your marketing tool (Constant Contact) 

Let's assume your marketing campaign has generated a bunch of prospects who are likely to buy your product. Now, to convert these prospects into customers you want to add them to your sales pipeline. This integration imports the prospects in your Constant Contact account into your Bigin account. Similarly, if you want to send out an email campaign to a list of prospects in Bigin, this integration works both ways and syncs the contacts in your Bigin account to the contact lists of your Constant Contact account seamlessly.

Only users with Admin profile can install this topping.

Set up the Constant Contact topping  

To set up the topping,
  1. In your Bigin account, go to Settings > Integrations/Toppings.
  2. Search for Constant Contact > click Install.

  3. Authorize the integration by signing into your Bigin account and Constant Contact account.

  4. Click Sync Contact Lists button.

  5. In the Configure Lists to be Synced section, click Configure to sync data from any list in your Constant Contact account with a list view in Bigin's Contacts module.
Note
  1. You can synchronize up to five contact lists from Constant Contact. 
  2. Bigin syncs with Constant Contact instantly, but the sync from Constant Contact to Bigin happens once every 2 hours. 
  1. In the Configure List page, perform the following actions for both the Constant Contact list and Bigin Contacts View.
    1. Choose the list to be synced from the Constant Contact drop-down list.
    2. Choose a Contacts module list view to be synced from the Bigin Contacts View drop-down list.
    3. Map the Constant Contact fields with those of Bigin's. By default, some fields will be already mapped. Map any remaining custom fields, and ensure to map the mandatory ones.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select the Initial import preference.
  4. Click Finish.
    This will start importing contacts from the chosen Constant Contact list to Bigin. Any addition or modification of contacts thereafter in the chosen Constant Contact list or the Bigin list view will be synchronized automatically between both the applications. You will be notified once the import is complete, after which you can configure sync for other audience lists.
  5. Enable Sync Opt-outs from Constant Contact to Bigin if you want to enable email opt automatically for a record in Bigin when the same contact unsubscribes from the Constant Contact mailing list.

  6. Synchronize other lists using the process described above.

Uninstall topping  

You can uninstall the Constant Contact topping from the Bigin account if it is no longer needed. If you uninstall this topping, the data sync between Bigin and Constant Contact will no longer work. However, uninstalling this topping will not delete any previously synced data.
To deactivate the Constant Contact topping,
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations/Toppings> Constant Contact.
  2. Click Uninstall.
