An event is a scheduled activity that helps businesses plan, organize, and track meetings, appointments, and other time-based engagements associated with their records. It enables users to manage their schedules, coordinate with customers and team members, and ensure that important interactions happen at the right time.
Different businesses can create events to suit their unique processes and operational requirements. For example, a sales team can schedule product demos, customer meetings, or contract discussions, while a service team can create events for on-site visits, maintenance appointments, training sessions, or consultation calls.
Users can create and schedule events, set start and end dates and times, invite participants, configure reminders, specify locations or meeting details, and update event information as plans change. They can also associate events with records such as leads, contacts, companies, deals, or other modules, allowing every scheduled interaction to be tracked in one place. This helps users stay organized, manage their calendars efficiently, collaborate with stakeholders, avoid scheduling conflicts, and maintain a complete history of customer engagements throughout the lifecycle of a record.

Views in Events
Bigin has system-defined standard filtered views that categorize events based on the user's schedule and activity, such as:

In the Events view, users can star or unstar views by tapping the Star icon. They can also search for the desired views using the search bar.
Filtering events
Users may find it difficult to locate specific events quickly when they have a busy schedule. To simplify event management, Bigin provides filtering options that help users narrow down and view only the events that are relevant to them.
Users can apply filters based on various attributes such as event name, event owner, start date, end date, participants, location, created time, and modified time. They can also search for specific filter criteria from the Filters page for faster access. When the filters are no longer required, users can easily clear them and return to the complete Events view.

Only five filters can be applied at a time.

- Users can also customize the appearance of each event card in the module.
- Images – Users can choose what is displayed in the image section of each event card. They can display either the initial alphabets of the first and last names of the event owner, or a Clock, which visually highlights that the record is a scheduled event.
