Managing the Contact Detail Page in Android
Users can view their customers' basic information like name, address, phone number, email, etc, and other records like activities, notes, email interactions, social interactions, pipelines and attachments linked to the contact in the contact detail page. The page also displays the history of all progress taken for the contact in the timeline tab. They can also edit the contact details, export the contact, and delete the contact from the contact detail page.
Viewing contact information
Info
This tab provides the users with the contact information like their name, photo, title, email, phone number, mailing address. It also gives user information for the organization like the contact owner, contact created by, modified by, last activity time, unsubscribed mode and time (if the contact has unsubscribed).
Users can see the details of the pipeline records attached to the contact and the activities lined up for the contact.
Users can send WhatsApp messages, normal messages, emails and even call the contact directly from the info tab using the respective icons below the contact's photo. They can also add appropriate tags for their contact.
Tags is available only for the paid editions.
To send emails
Users can tap the email icon and they will be redirected to the compose screen. They can add the subject, email content, CC, BCC, and attachments and then send the mail to the contact. They can also choose an email template if it is configured in the web.
To send WhatsApp messages
Users can tap the WhatsApp icon and select between WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business as their platform to send the message. They can then type the need message and send it to their contacts.
To send messages
Users can tap the Message icon and select between messengers like WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business and SMS to send messages to their contacts.
To call
Users can tap the call icon to place a call to their contacts.
To make a call, telephony must be integrated in the web. Once the integration is completed, users can choose built-in telephony, RingCentral, or Zoho Voice to initiate the calls from the Bigin app. They can select their preference in the Settings module > Calls > Call Preferences.
To manage tags
Users can tap the Tag icon to add tags of their choice to the contact. Once added, they can tap on the tag to edit and delete it. They can also add colors to the tags.
Timeline
Users can see the complete history of their interactions with and for the customers. It shows the date and time of when a pipeline record, notes, attachments, and activities are added and when emails are sent to the customers. They can filter the timeline records to see when specific files, events, tasks, and notes are added and when calls are made.
Notes
Users can add notes to record important customer information or specification like details discussed over call or messages. Under the notes tab, users can see all the notes added in every module associated with the contact or they can choose to see only the notes added for the contact. They can also add attachments to these notes, use the scribble pad to take the notes, and delete the note if deemed unnecessary.
Emails
Users can see the list of emails sent to their customers under this tab. They can filter and view the mails as following:
- All emails - shows emails from all categories, i.e., emails sent from Bigin, emails added from widgets, and IMAP emails.
- Emails sent from Bigin - shows emails sent from the Bigin app.
- Added from widget - after integrating with Bigin eWidget, the emails added to Bigin from the widget will be displayed here.
Users can swipe right to link the emails to the pipelines associated with the contact. This will help users have all emails associated with a contact's deal at one place. They can also change an existing linked email message to another pipeline record by swiping right and delink the emails by swiping left.
Files
Users can add and view attachments that are specific to their customers. The attachments can be added in the form of an image, audio recording, links, and files. They can share the said attachment directly through the messenger of their choice, save it or delete it.
Pipelines
Users can track the progress of the deals associated with a contact from the pipelines tab to stay relevant. They can also add new deals to any of the available pipelines from the contact detail page, where the contact will be automatically associated with the deal/pipeline. They can also edit, delete and manage tags for the associated deals.
Payment Links
The Payments tab allows users to view and manage all payment links associated with that contact. Since payment links are created for pipeline records and are automatically associated with the related contact, users can track payment activity for a customer from a single location. They can also filter the payment records to view them by status, including All, Received, Pending, Overdue, Failed, and Expired payments.
Activities
Users can add and track tasks, events, and calls, with each parameter having its own vital information like priority level, status, and due date. They can also edit, delete and manage tags for the associated activities.
Editing a contact
Users can edit a contact to change, add or delete details about the contact by tapping the edit icon on the top navigation bar.
Deleting a contact
Users can delete contacts that they no longer need by tapping the delete icon in the top navigation bar.
Exporting a contact
Users can export their contacts to their mobile device by tapping the more icon and selecting Export contact; so that they can contact them even from remote areas without an internet connection.
