Adding and Viewing Products in Android

In Bigin, products are the goods or services sold or procured by a company. 

For example, a digital marketing firm may offer services such as SEO packages, social media management, paid advertising campaigns, and website optimization. Each of these services can be added as individual product records within the Bigin. On the other hand, a small - scaled boutique owner will procure different types of dresses for his shop and that can also be added as individual product records within his Bigin organization. 

Users can store key details such as product name, pricing, description, service code, and category. Additionally, all associated deals, companies, contacts, activities (tasks, calls, events), attachments, and pipeline interactions can be viewed within the product record, providing a complete overview of how that product or service is being sold and managed across the business.

Adding product details 

Users can manually add the product details to their Bigin account. 

To add product details manually

  1. Open the Bigin app. 
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar and select Products. 
  3. Tap the Add  icon.
  4. Fill in the required details like product name, pricing, description, service code, and category, etc. You can also add a photo for the product. 
  5. Tap the tick  icon in the top-right corner of the screen to save the product. 

Viewing products

System-defined standard views categorize the products as:
  1. All products
  2. My products
  3. Active products
  4. Not yet viewed
In the products view, the users can star or unstar views by tapping the Star icon. They can also search for the desired views in the search tab.

Filtering products

Users can find it difficult to land on a specific product quickly in a sea of products. To streamline their search, users can filter and view the products. There are advanced filters based on the product fields like product name, created time, product owner, modified by, modified time, product active, product category, product code, unit price, etc. Users can also search for the needed filters from the search tab in the Filters page and they can also clear the filter if not needed anymore.

Only five filters can be applied at a time. 

To filter products

  1. Open the Bigin app. 
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar and select Products. 
  3. Tap the Filter  icon in the Product View bar. 
  4. Choose the appropriate filter and enter the criteria. 
  5. Tap Apply. 
Notes
Users can also see the number of products they have in their organization in the Filters page.

Sorting products

Users can sort their products to access them in an organized manner. The can sort in ascending or descending order based on the record fields like product name, created time, product owner, modified by, modified time, product active, product category, product code, unit price, etc,. They can also search for the fields they want to sort their products by in the Sort page. 

To sort products

  1. Open the Bigin app. 
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar and select Products. 
  3. Tap the Sort  icon in the Product View tab. 
  4. Choose the necessary field and ascending or descending based on your preference. 
  5. Tap the Tick  icon to reflect the chosen preferences. 

Customizing the list view

Users can customize the list view in the products module by choosing the fields that should be displayed in the list view to make it more dynamic, presenting all relevant information directly within it. 
Users can also customize the appearance of each card in the module.
  1. Images - The initial alphabet of the product will be displayed in the image tab.The display image can be positioned on the left or right, and the shape can be square or circle. 
  2. Style - Users can choose the display style of the record in the list view as list or card. They can also choose if they want to show the icons on the product card.
