Import and Export contacts in bulk from iOS

Exporting contacts

The Bigin iOS app allows users to export customer contacts directly to their device for offline access. This feature ensures that important contact information is always available, even in areas without internet connectivity. Users can perform bulk exports through the Settings menu. Exported contacts retain all information stored in Bigin, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and company details.

For example, a field sales representative visiting remote locations can export vendor contacts to their iPhone before traveling, ensuring they can make calls even without network coverage.

Bulk export allows users to save multiple contacts at once, either directly in their device or as a vCard file for sharing or backup purposes.

  3. Contacts that are locked due to GDPR policies can't be exported.

Importing Contacts

The Import Contacts feature allows users to add contacts from their iPhone to the Bigin app. This enables users to quickly populate their Bigin account with existing contacts instead of creating them manually. Users can import one or multiple contacts directly from the device's Contacts app, making it easier to start managing customer relationships in Bigin.
For example, a business owner who has been storing customer information in their iPhone's Contacts app can import those contacts into Bigin to organize them, track interactions, and manage sales activities from a single platform.
