You can manage actions such as events, tasks or calls with your customers.
Ideally, a salesperson has to manually keep tabs on the pending follow-ups or product demos that he has with his customers. With no actual means to remind him before the due date, chances of missing them is high.
Activities module in Bigin allows you to add your events, tasks or calls that you have with your customers. You can also choose to be reminded of your activity so that you don't miss them anymore. Further, you can create a custom view of how you would like to view the activities in your Bigin account.
Creating Tasks
Task is a specified piece of work that has to be carried out in the given time frame. You can repeat the task that you have created and also setup a reminder.
There are three ways of creating a task.
From the activities module.
From the record details page
From contacts, companies and pipeline list view
To create a task from the activities module
Go to the Activities module.
Click + Task.
In the Create task window, do the following:
Choose the Owner from the drop-down list.
Enter the Task Name.
Specify the Due Date.
To repeat the task, do the following:
Select the Repeat checkbox.
Choose Every Day, Every Week, Every Month or Every Year from the drop-down list.
Specify the date till which the task should be repeated.
To add a reminder, do the following:
Select the Reminder checkbox.
Choose on due date, a day before due date, 2 days before due date from the drop-down list.
Specify the time when you would like to be reminded.
Select the contacts/companies/pipeline records with which the task is related to.
If the task if of high priority, select the Mark as High Priority checkbox.
When you are adding a completed task, you can enable the Mark as Completed textbox.
Click Save.
Note
Reminder is not applicable for a completed task.
To create a task from the record details page
Go to Contacts or Companies module.
Select the record for whom you would like to add a task.
In the record details page, click on the Activities tab. A list of activities related to the record will be displayed.
Click + Task.
Enter the task details and click Save.
Click Save & New, to save the task and create a new one.
To create a task from Module list view
Go to the Contacts,Companies or Pipeline module.
Click on the More button against the record and click
Create a task.
Enter the task details and click Save.
Click Save & New to save the task and create a new one.
Mark task as completed
Once the specified task is carried out, you can mark it as completed.
To mark a task as completed
Go to the Activities module.
Select the task that you want to mark as completed.
Click
Mark as completed.
To mark a task as completed from the Record Details page
Go to the Contacts,Companies and Pipeline module.
Select a record.
Click the Activities tab.
Hover over the task and click More > Mark as completed.

Edit a task
You can edit the task from the task details page, from the task list view or from the record details page.
To edit a record from task list view
In the Activities module hover over the Task that you would like to edit and click the Edit button.
Make the necessary changes and click Save.
To edit the task from the details page
Go to the Activities module.
Select the Task that you would like to edit.
In the task details page, click the Edit button.
Make necessary changes and click Save.
To edit the task from Record details page
Go to the Contacts,Companies or Pipeline module.
Select the Record whose task you would like to edit.
Select the Activities tab.
Hover over the task you would like to edit and click
More >
Edit.
Make the necessary changes and click Save.
Cloning a task
If you are creating a task, that is very much similar to an existing task, you can clone them.
To clone a task
Go to the Activities module.
Select the Task that you would like to clone.
Click More > Clone.
In the Create Task window, make changes and click Save.
Deleting Tasks
You can delete the tasks that you have created in the following ways.
From the Activities module.
From the Task details page
From the Record details page.
To delete Task from the Activities module
Go to the Activities module.
Hover over the task that you want to delete, click More > Delete.
If you want to delete multiple tasks, select those tasks > More > Delete.
The deleted tasks will be moved to the Recycle Bin. You can restore them or completely delete them from Bigin.
To delete a task from Record details page
Go to the Contacts,Companies or Pipeline Module.
Select the Record.
Click on the Activities tab.
Hover over the task that you would like to delete, click More > Delete.
