Zoho Bookings extension for Zoho Desk

Zoho Desk is a customer service portal where agents can provide support to customers and solve their issues. Agents and customers can schedule appointments when more assistance is needed. To simplify scheduling, Zoho Bookings extension can be installed in Zoho Desk.

 

By using this Zoho Bookings extension, an agent can share their bookings page link, view and schedule appointments right from the desk.

Highlights of this feature:

  • Send your booking links to customers in Zoho Desk and let them self-schedule with you. 

  • View and manage your appointments in Zoho Desk.

  • Share your schedule without switching between Zoho Bookings and Desk.

  • Get notifications directly in the ticket when appointments are scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled.



To install the extension

  1. Log in to Zoho Desk.

  2. Click the Setup icon in the menu bar.

  3. Under Marketplace, select All.

  4. Search for 'Zoho Bookings' in the search bar on the right side.

  5. Select Zoho Bookings extension for Zoho Desk and click Install.

  6. On the installation page, do the following

    • Select the departments and profiles that can access this extension.

    • Click Install.

  7. Click Authorize to activate this extension.

After the installation, you can access the Bookings extension in the middle pane of the ticket.



You can view the Zoho Bookings Calendar by clicking the more icon in the menu bar.



  1. To share your bookings link, open a ticket and click the Bookings icon in the middle pane. This opens up the list of services that you offer under the Booking links tab.

  2. Hover over any service and there will be two icons: Copy and Insert link. You can use any of the options to share your booking link with the customers. If an appointment is scheduled, it will be added in the comments section. 

To share a resource booking service, the respective staff should be selected as a staff-in-charge for that resource booking in Zoho Bookings. 
The Bookings history tab will display the list of services booked by the customer using the shared link.



View bookings calendar

Click the more icon in the menu bar to view your bookings calendar. You'll be able to do the following.

  • Add appointments

  • Add special working hours

  • Add break time and block time.

  • View and export appointments. If you are an admin, you can view other staff calendars in your org. 



While adding appointments, you can choose Desk/Bookings customer and add accordingly.



To uninstall the extension

  1. Click the Setup icon in the menu bar.

  2. Under Marketplace, select All.

  3. In the Marketplace place, click Installed extensions.

  4. Choose Zoho Bookings extension for Zoho Desk from the list of extensions.

  5. Click the more icon and select Uninstall Extension.

  6. Click Confirm.
