Learn how to customize your appointment title and have more control on how you label and organize your appointments, enhancing organization and productivity.
This feature is available for all paid plans.
Super admins and admins can access this feature. Managers can view it, while staff cannot view the configured settings but can view the customized title in the calendar.
An appointment title provides a glimpse of the appointment, and having a customized title is more efficient as it gives a concise overview of the appointment without opening the summary. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who are managing multiple appointments, as dynamic titles can include participant and service names, aiding in quick identification and organization.
Zoho Bookings let you have a customized appointment title by including variables according to your preferences. This will be applied to the event title in calendar invites. It will also be used as titles of online meetings(Zoho Meeting, Google Meet, Zoom Meeting, Microsoft Teams, Zoho CRM Calendar), Zoho Assist sessions, and ICS files.
Click Services on the Bookings menu bar.
Select the required service from the left pane and click Service Preferences in the middle pane.
Under the General section, you can see the Appointment Title Customization option. In the text box, add the required text.
Click Insert Variable to the right of the text box to include variables in the title.
Click Save.
The list of pre-defined variables that are available to be included in the title can be referred below:

The duration of the appointment is based on the Include Buffer Time in Calendar Invites toggle in Service Information.
If it is set to Yes, then the duration returns pre-buffer + appointment duration + post-buffer.
If it is set to No, then the duration returns the actual appointment duration alone.
For existing users, the current calendar event title will be used until they customize the appointment title.
A maximum of 255 characters can be set as the title.
