Learn about the different statuses in Bookings.
Appointment status
Payment status
Appointment and payment status can be edited from both list view and calendar view.
A status of the appointment lets you know where it stands. The various statuses in Bookings are:
Upcoming: Displayed once an appointment is booked.
Ongoing: Displayed during the appointment period.
Completed: Displayed once staff marks an appointment as completed.
Canceled: Displayed when staff marks an appointment as canceled.
No Show: Displayed if staff marks that the customer didn't show up.
Yet to Mark: Displayed if the appointment period has passed and staff has not changed the status yet.
Calendar View
An Upcoming appointment can be rescheduled or canceled. An Upcoming appointment which belongs to Group Booking (single or series) can only be Canceled.
An Ongoing appointment can be rescheduled, canceled, marked as Completed, or marked as No Show.
A Completed appointment status cannot be changed.
A Canceled appointment can be rescheduled.
An appointment marked as No Show can be marked as Completed or rescheduled.
An appointment can be marked as Completed regardless of the payment status.
When an appointment is marked as Completed, the payment status can be marked as Paid by selecting the checkbox next to Received Full Payment.
The payment status and appointment status are independent of one another.
If you have configured payment for your bookings, here are the various payment statuses:
Pending: Displayed when the customer has not made any payment.
Due: Displayed when the customer has made partial payment.
Paid: Displayed when the customer has made full payment.
Payment Failure: Displayed when the customer has tried paying, but the payment is not successful.
In Progress: Displayed when the customer has tried paying, but the payment process is still in progress. Appointment will only be confirmed if the payment process is successful within one hour of booking.
Payment Failure
1. If payment has failed for a future appointment, then the appointment will be canceled.
2. If the payment has failed for the ongoing or past appointments, then the appointment status will not be affected.
In Progress
1. Appointment will be canceled if the payment is not received within one hour of booking. If you'd like to avoid the cancelation, you can change the payment status to Due or Paid.
Paid
1. If the appointment is marked as Paid, it cannot be reverted.
