What is a Feed?
Feed is an automated
system that populates activities in your projects. Similar to a Facebook
or Instagram feed, you will receive updates whenever users perform
activities in the projects that you are associated with.
When do you Check Feed?
Say
you manage a team and you've got a lot on your plate to address
everyday.
Tracking things might not always be easy when you handle a big team. At
this point you might need an interface that shows the latest updates
from your team members with the details. Our Feed helps you manage these notifications with ease.
Check Feed
- Click Feed on the left navigation panel.
- By default, the feed is displayed for all projects. You can find them under the Feed section in the main body of the screen.
- Click Status to look into the statuses posted recently by your peers.
- Click Activity Stream to have a track on your peers' activities on a daily basis and to know
who is doing what. You can also go to a specific timeline to check upon
someone's activity here.
- Click on a user's profile image to view their details.
- You can send a direct message to or chat or follow the user.
Check Feed for a Specific Project
- Click Feed on the left navigation panel.
- By default, the feed is displayed for all projects. You can find them under the Feed section in the main body of the screen.
- Use
the Select Project drop-down to find and select a project and then
click on it. The feed is displayed for a specific project.
Add Status
Quickly share an update or information using Status. Type @ to
view user picklist. The selected user will be mentioned in the status
and receive a notification. Type# and the first few characters of task
or issue name. The picklist will display issues and tasks matching the
characters. Selecting them will tag the task or issue on the status.
- Type in your Status.
To mention or tag someone in the status, prefix the ‘@‘ symbol before
their name. To tag tasks and bugs, prefix ‘#’ to the task name and issue
name.
- Select the project in which the status has to be posted.
- Click Submit.
