What is Zia AI content generation  

Zia is the AI assistant built into Zoho Campaigns. Instead of writing a subject line or an email body from scratch, you describe what you want to say and Zia drafts it.

To use Zia, you need to enable an AI model for your organization from settings. See setting up Zia AI in Zoho Campaigns. Once a model is active, the Zia AI icon shows up wherever content generation is available.

Setting the campaign context  

Campaign context is what Zia reads before it writes anything: your offer, your audience, a deadline, a promo code, whatever's relevant. It won't carry over to a different campaign.

1. In any AI content generation pop-up, click + Campaign Context in the top-right corner.

2. In the Campaign Context dialog, describe the campaign in a few sentences.

3. Click Save.

Once saved, that button turns into a View Context link on every generation surface for the campaign. Click it anytime to review, edit, or delete what you entered. Generations after an edit use the updated context; anything Zia already produced stays as it was.

Idea: Set the campaign context before you touch the subject line field. Every surface then pulls from the same source instead of you re-explaining the offer three separate times.

Generating a subject line and pre-header  

1. In the campaign builder, click the Zia AI icon at the right end of the Subject or Pre-header field.

2. In the Generate with Zia pop-up, add campaign context if it isn't set yet, then describe what you want the subject or pre-header to convey.

3. Click Generate.

Zia returns a suggestion below the field, along with a few ways to adjust it before you commit:

• Tone. Switch the tone of the draft.

• Length. Shorten or lengthen it.

• Simplify. Bring the reading level down.

• Edit Prompt. Change your instructions and regenerate.

• The refresh icon gets you a new suggestion using the same prompt.

Click Insert to drop the result into the field.

Reworking a subject or pre-header you wrote manually  

If you typed the subject or pre-header yourself and want Zia to improve it, click the Zia AI icon next to the field. This opens a dropdown instead of a blank prompt box:

1. Rephrase. Rewrites the content without changing what it says.

2. Change Tone. Switches to Conversational, Energetic, Formal and Empathetic.

3. Length. Shortens or lengthens the content.

4. Simplify. Lowers the reading grade.

5. Fix Grammar. Corrects grammar and punctuation.

6. Translate to. Translates the content into another language.

7. Rewrite. Regenerates the entire content with AI.

Generating content for email body blocks  

In the drag-and-drop email builder, every content block has its own Zia AI icon next to the three-dot menu on the right edge of the block.

1. Click the Zia AI icon on the block you want to fill.

2. Add instructions and campaign context, if you haven't set it already.

3. Click Generate.

Zia reads the subject and pre-header you've already entered, if any, so the block doesn't end up reading like it belongs to a different email.

Adjust Tone, Length, or click Simplify before you insert, or use the regenerate icon for another attempt. Click Insert once the draft works.

If a block already has content you wrote, click its Zia AI icon for the same rework dropdown: Rephrase, Change Tone, Length, Simplify, Fix Grammar, Translate to, and Rewrite.

Generating a plain text email body  

If you're sending a plain text email instead of using the drag-and-drop builder, the same generation flow is available from the text area.

1. Click the Zia AI icon at the top-right of the text area.

2. Add instructions and campaign context, if not set already.

3. Click Generate.

Zia factors in your subject and pre-header the same way it does for body blocks, and gives you the same Tone, Length, Simplify, and regenerate options before you insert.

To rework text you wrote by hand, click the Zia AI icon and pick from Rephrase, Change Tone, Length, Simplify, Fix Grammar, Translate to, or Rewrite. You can also select a portion of the text and rework only that part.

Generating content in Email Templates  

Zia is also available while you're editing a template in the Email Templates library, separate from any live campaign.

1. Click the Zia AI icon on a block, and you'll see + Template Context instead of Campaign Context.

2. Add a template context and instructions describing what the block should say.

3. Click Generate.

The generated content replaces the block. From the results pop-up you can still adjust tone and length, click Simplify, or rework existing content the same way as inside a live campaign.
