Adding email templates to the library in the folder of your choice is straight forward and is just a repeat of a few steps from the email campaign creation process. You just go create an email template and Save it to library. You skip the steps of entering your campaign details and other information to send an email campaign. You create templates here to save them for later, it's as simple as that. It just makes sending emails much faster by cutting down the steps of customizing a campaign template from the scratch every time you decide to send emails. 

 Creating email  templates

You can start crafting the model for your email right from here. You have three main options:

(a) Use a pre-designed template

This is the easiest option, especially if you are new to email marketing and are not very comfortable coding:

  1. Click See all to browse all available pre-designed email templates.

  2. In the Gallery, find a template you like and click Use Template to select it.

  3. You will be taken to the drag-and-drop template editor. Simply drag and drop elements such as text blocks, images, buttons, and so on to build your email layout.

  4. Make your edits, then click Save and Close Editor when you are done.

 

(b) Build your email from scratch

If you prefer to design your own email, you can use one of the following options:

  • Upload HTML: Upload a ready-made HTML file.

  • Import HTML: Import HTML code from a URL.

  • Plain text editor: Write a simple text-only email with no formatting.

  • HTML editor: Write and edit HTML code directly within Zoho Campaigns.

(c) Choose a Layout to customize:

They are blank and structured layouts to build from.

Layouts come with content areas already arranged for you, such as an image box beside a block of text, an image on top with text below, or two images side by side.

Drag and drop a template into the canvas and start building in a way that suits your brand style.  

 How do I create a template from the Library?  

You can directly create templates from the Library and save them for later use under desired folders.  

 

To create a template from the Library,

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, choose Library and select Email Templates.

  2. Click Create New in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. From the Template selection page, choose the template you would like to create.

  4. Click Use template on the template box you want to use.

  5. Design the template according to your requirement. Read Template Editor for more information.

  6. Click Save and close to save the template in the Library. 

How do I save a template to the library?  

Once you're done designing your template according to your needs and requirements,

  1. Click Save and Close button on the top right corner of the template editor.

  2. Your template will be saved in the Templates section of the Library.

Alternatively,

If you designed your template in the template editor:

  1. Click the More icon.

  2. Click Save as Template.

  3. Add the template name and click Save.

Your template will be saved in the Email Templates section of the Library.

What can you do with the saved templates?    

When you mouse over the thumbnail of a template stored in the library, you can see the following icons:

  1. Preview - Display a preview of the template.

  2. Edit - Edit the template.

Click on the three dots on a template to open more options like:

  1. Clone - Clone the template.

  2. Delete - Delete the template.

How do I move a template to a folder?     

You can also move templates between folders by selecting the template and selecting the destination folder in the Move to Folder dropdown or selecting Create New Folder to move the template to a new folder. Templates are created in the folder window that is currently open.

You can find or search all previously added templates under Library -> Email templates

You can create and toggle between folders in the library to separate items/templates and have it segregated based on your needs.
