Tools reference

Zoho Campaigns offers 82 MCP tools in 11 categories. Each tool does one specific action, and your AI tool can only do what the tools in your server allow. If a server has no tool for an action, the AI tool cannot do that action in Zoho Campaigns. To add tools to a server, see Add Zoho Campaigns tools.

Tool types

Each tool in the lists below has a type, so you can quickly see what it does to your data:

Read: Views data. Read tools never change anything in your account.
Change: Creates or updates data, such as a new segment or an edited campaign.
Delete: Removes data. Many delete tools are permanent and cannot be undone.
Send: Sends emails, such as a campaign or a test email.

Because each server can have its own set of tools, you can build servers around the jobs you do most. Here are four examples to start from:

All four examples stay under the 40-tool limit in Cursor, and the campaign-reports server is safe to share with anyone who only needs to read results.

What happens if you do not have permission

Zoho Campaigns MCP follows the user roles and permissions in your Zoho Campaigns organization. Every tool call runs with the permissions of the Zoho account that authorized the connection, so MCP never gives you more access than you already have in Zoho Campaigns. If you ask your AI tool about a module your role cannot access, such as reports or webhooks, the AI tool tells you that you do not have permission and asks you to contact your Zoho Campaigns admin.
