How do I add an internal note to some contacts for my reference?

You can add internal notes to your contacts in Zoho Campaigns. You can do this in three ways:
  1. In the Smart View
  2. In the Detailed View
  3. While creating contacts

1. In the Smart View

You can add a note for an already created contact in their smart view. To do this:
  • From the Navigation Toolbar to the left, click Contacts and select All Contacts.
  • Click the email address of a contact to open the smart view window.
  • Click the More Actions (three-dots) button and click Notes.



  • Click Add note, add the note for this contact, and click Save.

2. In the Detailed View

You can also add a note in the detailed view of an already created contact by:
  • From the Navigation Toolbar to the left, click Contacts and select All Contacts.
  • Click the email address of a contact to open the smart view window.
  • Click the View All Details button.
  • Under the Notes section, click Add Note.



  • Type the note and click Save.

3. When creating contacts

In case you want to add a note when you're manually creating contacts, you can do this by:
  • From the Navigation Toolbar to the left, click Contacts and select All Contacts.
  • Click the Add New button at the top-right and select Multiple Contacts.



  • In the screen that appears, click the Organize Columns button at the far right.



  • Scroll through the drop-down that appears and tick the Note field, or search for 'Note' using the search icon and tick this field. If needed, change its position to the top by dragging it using the small dotted icon next to it. Click Save. This is useful if you don't have to scroll horizontally to include this information for your contacts provided this field is frequently used by you.



  • Type the data in the Note field and click Save at the bottom after ensuring all the necessary information has been filled.
