How does wait time work in Zoho Campaigns workflows?
The wait time component allow contacts to wait for a specific time based on the last processed action before they move into further processes of the workflow. For example, you have a five day promotion for a new business. Your plan is to send two promotional emails to a specific list of contacts with a 3 day gap between them. Let's see how you can use the wait time component for this scenario.
- From the navigation toolbar, select Automation and click Workflows.
- Click Create Workflow on the top-right and click Custom workflow.
- Use the List entry trigger for your promotion and configure it for the list of contacts you need to promote your campaign.
- Drag and drop the two send email components onto the canvas and configure them.
- Drag and drop the Wait Time action between the two email campaign components as shown in the screenshot below.
- By default, contacts will be made to wait for an hour on all days of the week. To customize the wait time, click on more (...) and click the edit icon.
- Enter the number of hours or days the contacts must wait. As shown in the screenshot above, set a 3-day wait time so that the second email will be sent 3 days after the first one.
- Choose to resume the workflow immediately or between a specific time of the day after the wait. Therefore, if you've set the wait time as 3 days, you can either resume the workflow immediately after the wait, or between a specific time after 3 days has passed.
- Select specific days or all days of the week to make your contacts wait before entering the workflow during the 5 day promotion.
