What is email open tracking  

1. Create a form that collects email addresses and consent for tracking.
   
2. Once contacts submit your form with their consent choice, you can create a custom field in Zoho Campaigns to record their consent.
   
3. Next create a segment or a list of contacts who have consented to tracking. You can use these segments or lists to target campaigns with tracking enabled.
   

Organization-wide open tracking

1. From the Zoho Campaigns dashboard, click the gear icon in the top right corner. Select Settings.
   
2. Under Campaign Policy, click Campaign Tracking.
   
3. Under Email Opens: Complete Tracking, click on Change 
   
4. In the dialog that appears, click the radio button next toDo not track.
   
5. Click the Apply button to confirm.
   

Enable or Disable tracking for individual campaigns

1. From the Campaigns dashboard, either create a new campaign or open an existing draft.
   
2. In the campaign creation page, scroll down past the content section. Click on Show advanced options.
   
3. In the tracking section, click on Change next to Email Opens.
   
4. Choose one of the following options::
   
5. For campaigns sent to consented segments, select Complete Tracking and click Apply.
   
6. For campaigns sent to non-consented or general segments, select Do not track and click Apply.
   

What happens when you disable open tracking  

1. No new emails will include a tracking pixel
   
2. Campaign reports will no longer show open rates for those campaigns.
   
3. Response actions triggered on "email opened" events will stop functioning.
   
4. Lists and segments based on opens will no longer work
   
5. Contact scoring rules based on opens will stop counting new opens
