We value your privacy and security, and we want to be transparent about how we handle your data in Zoho ChemStudio. This page explains how we collect, store, and share your data when you use our tool.
In Zoho ChemStudio, you may choose to look up or import chemical information from third-party sources such as PubChem. PubChem is a public chemistry database that is not hosted by us. We do not have any control over this third-party source, and we are not responsible for its content, quality, or availability.
When you retrieve chemical data from PubChem, that data is provided by PubChem and is used to populate the corresponding structures and information on your board within ChemStudio.
We store your document content as encrypted data. Encryption at Rest (EAR) is applied at the application layer using our in-house Key Management Service (KMS), so your boards, structures, reactions, and other content are stored in encrypted form. Personally identifiable information and generated results that are persisted, such as stoichiometry results, are also encrypted.
Access to your documents is restricted. Only users who have been granted access permissions, either view or edit, can open a document.
Data retention is configurable by administrators. An administrator can choose to automatically delete data after 7 days, 15 days, or 30 days. By default, data is never automatically deleted.
We do not share your data with any third parties except as required by law or with your consent. We may share your data with law enforcement authorities or in response to court orders where we have a good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulations, or to protect our rights or property.
You can move your chemistry data in and out of Zoho ChemStudio in portable, widely supported formats.
