Specifications

Specifications module will help you to add product specifications that will be displayed in a table format. You can create specification sets for different products and also categorize your specification fields. These specifications are displayed neatly on your product page, in a tab next to the product details. 


Enable Specifications

You can enable Specifications from Settings > Preferences under Store Settings
By default, the Specifications feature is disabled. 

1. Scroll down to the bottom of the Preferences page and select the Show radio button for the Specifications field.
2. Click Save after you're done. 



Create Specification Set

Go to SettingsSpecifications under General.


1. Click Add Specification to get started.
2. Enter your product type as your Specification Name and click Next

3. Enter a Group Name. You can classify your specifications set according to different groups. 
4Enter the Field and Values below.
5. Click Add New Field for including new fields. 


6. Delete a field using the [] icon. Click Save once done.


7. Once you've created a group, click Add Group to add more groups or Add Specification to add a new specification set.

8. Click the Ellipsis icon [] and drag your group to a new location to reorder it. 
9. Click Save after you're done, or Reset to start over. 



Edit and Delete Specification Groups 

1. Go to Settings > Specifications under General.
2. Hover over a group and click the Edit [] icon or the Delete [] icon.



Add Specifications to Products

1. Go to Products and click Edit on the product you want to add specifications for. Alternatively, you can also add specifications to a new product.
2. Scroll down to the Specifications section at the bottom of the page and then choose the Specification Set from the drop-down box. 

3. Select values for the fields you wish to display. 
Fields with no values won't be displayed. 

4. Click Save after you're done.

Your specifications will now be displayed for each product once you have published on your store . 

The format may vary based on the template that you've chosen.


Rename and Delete Specifications

1. Go to Settings > Specifications under General.
2. Hover over the specification and click the Ellipsis button [] to Rename or Delete.
