Manage Stock

Commerce's Manage Stock feature is used to keep track of the product stock available in your store. What's especially helpful about this feature is that it automatically updates the stock every time a sale happens.


To find this feature, go to Settings > Manage Stock under the General section in the Zoho Commerce dashboard.


Let's look at the fields you'll find when you click on Manage Stock:

Title: Name of the product.

Current Stock: The number of products currently available.

Action: You can increase, decrease, or reset the quantity of the product.

Quantity: The number of products in stock to be increased or decreased.

Total Quantity: The total number of products available after increasing/decreasing the stock.



Increase the Quantity of a Product  

To increase the quantity of a product:
  1. Select Increase from the product's Action dropdown list.
  2. Enter the number to be increased in the Quantity box.

  3. The total quantity of the product, after the increase, will be reflected in the Total Quantity box.

  4. Click Save.

Decrease the Quantity of a Product 

To decrease the quantity of a product:
  1. Select Decrease from the product's Action dropdown list.
  2. Enter the number to be reduced in the Quantity box.

  3. The total quantity of the product, after the decrease in quantity, will be reflected in the Total Quantity box.

  4. Click Save. 

Assign Quantity to a Product 

To assign a particular quantity to a product: 
  1. Select Reset from the product's Action dropdown list.
  2. Enter the quantity that you want to assign in the Quantity box. The updated stock will appear in the Total Quantity box.

  3. Click Save.


Note: The stock quantity changes only after the product is marked as shipped from the Orders section. Click the Sort icon to arrange products by name, time, or stock value. 

In Case of Returns 

To reflect a return being added back to your stock, you'll need to manually increase the product quantity.
