Live Shipping Rates

Live Shipping rate when enabled for any shipping carrier will help your customers to see the exact shipping cost that will be involved for their orders. These are beneficial because the entire cart value will be considered while calculating the shipping cost at the time of checkout. 

Live Shipping is available for:
  1. Canada Post
  2. Australia Post
  3. FedEx
  4. UPS
  5. USPS
Live shipping rate can be activated only for one shipping carrier at a time.
  1. Go to Settings > Shipping Carriers under General.
  2. After setting up a shipping carrier, Click Checkout Settings.
  3. In the pop-up box, toggle the button to enable or disable Live shipping rates. You can also set rules to modify the shipping rates based on certain conditions- you can set the minimum/maximum cost you want to charge your customers, markup or markdown a particular amount or percentage, round off to the nearest whole number, or define the weight allowed per package. Once you've set your rules, click OK.

Live shipping rates is now enabled for this carrier. If you wish to enable Live shipping for another carrier, you must first disable Live shipping for this carrier and then enable it for the other carrier.
Live shipping rates is available only for customers using the Zoho Commerce Professional plan and above.


Live shipping rates for packages

Live shipping rates for packages are calculated by shipping carriers based on the package dimensionslength, width, height, and maximum weightand are displayed at the time of checkout to the customer.  

Live shipping rate can be activated only for one shipping carrier at a time.


  
Step 1: Navigate to Settings -> Preference -> the Package Size section. The merchant needs to enable the Enable at checkout option.


 

 

Step 2: Once the option is enabled, set the package dimensions  You shall check with your shipping carrier and create packages accordingly.


Ecommerce merchants have the option to set multiple package sizes for shipping. During order placement by your customers, based on cart weight and dimensions, packages will be auto allotted for that order. Created packages will be ascendingly sorted based on volume and it will be allotted to that order. A single order can have multiple packages too.

Example : If the configured package weight is 100kg, but the cart weight is 300kg, then 3 packages will be allotted for that order.

Step 3: If you are supporting multiple package dimensions, click Add Additional Package Sizes and set the dimension of the package.
