Overview

Enterprise search allows you to search a keyword extensively across Zoho Connect, other Zoho services, and enabled third-party applications, such as Google Drive and Box.
 

Who can enable the enterprise search feature?

Only network admins can enable/disable enterprise search in Zoho Connect. Also, the option to enable the apps will be only shown to them.

Who can access enterprise search in Zoho Connect?

Once the network admin enables the external applications, anyone in the organization can access the enabled apps from Zoho Connect.

How to enable external apps in Zoho Connect

The first step to access enterprise search is to enable the external apps.
  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect account.
  2. Click the search bar at the top.



  3. Select the Enable external apps option from the dropdown.
  4. Click the toggle button of the third-party app you want to enable from the list of options.


 

To add an account in the third-party app

  1. After enabling an app, click the Manage your apps option from the page.



  2. Select the Add Account option for the app you have enabled.



    You'll be redirected to the login page of the selected third party app.
  3. Log in to your respective third-party account to complete enabling the external app.

 Currently, we support eight external applications for enterprise search: Asana, Box, Drop Box, Evernote, Outlook, OneDrive, Gmail, and Google Drive.


To add multiple accounts in an enabled external app

  1. Click the search bar at the top in your Zoho Connect account.



  2. Select the Manage external apps option from the dropdown.
  3. Click the Manage button for the enabled app.

     

  4. The list of accounts added to the integration will appear on the right. Select the Add account option near the header.

    You can add up to 10 accounts for each external application.

 

How to delete an account from the enabled external app

  1. Click the search bar at the top of your Zoho Connect account.



  2. Select the Manage external apps option from the dropdown.
  3. Click the Manage button for the enabled app.

     

  4. The list of accounts added to the integration will appear on the right. Hover on an account you want to delete and click Remove.

 

How to disable external apps in Zoho Connect

  1. Click the search bar at the top of your Zoho Connect account.
  2. Select the Enable external apps option from the dropdown.



  3. Click the toggle button of the third-party app you want to disable from the list of options.



  4. Select Yes, Disable.

 

How to do enterprise search in Zoho Connect.

  1. Click the search bar on the top of your Zoho Connect account.
  2. Enter the keyword and select the others section.
  3. Click Others and select the third-party app from the dropdown.



    The results for your search inside the selected app will appear below.



  4. Alternatively, type and search your keyword in the connect search and go to the External Search tab.
