Overview

The API endpoint is an authenticated URL that lets another service to send requests and access the data in a network. It is necessary that the URL is kept safe and not shared with others. However, in case the URL gets shared with an unauthorized person or gets exposed, you can regenerate and create a new URL.

Who can regenerate the API endpoint URL?

Only the configuration owner can regenerate the API endpoint URL.

How do I regenerate the API endpoint URL?

  1. Click the gear icon [] in the right menu.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown.
  3. In the Settings page, click Function API under Developer Space.
     
  4. Select the required configuration from the list. 
  5. Click Edit Configuration in the bottom-right corner of Configuration Details pop-up.

  6. Navigate to the API endpoint section and click Expand found next to it.
  7. Click Regenerate URL in the bottom-right part of the API endpoint field.
Once you've regenerated the URL, the old URL becomes invalid and requests made to it will not be processed. So after switching to the new URL, make sure to update the old URL with the new one in the relevant application.
