Managing outgoing webhooks
Overview
Who can configure?
- By default, only network admins can set up outgoing webhooks.
- Admins can allow selected users to configure them.
How to configure an outgoing webhook?
- Click the gear icon and select Settings from the dropdown.
- Select Outgoing Webhook under Automation.
- Click Configure.
- Enter the name, description (optional), and trigger.
- Choose the Action.
If chosen Send a POST request, you must enter a Webhook URL. - Choose a failure plan and click Save.
Actions supported
- Post request- Sends trigger data to a URL. (Requires HTTPS for security.)
- Custom function- Runs an action like updating Trello, Asana, or Zoho Cliq.
Triggers in outgoing Webhooks

Boards | Member added to or removed from a board | Entire network or selected boards |
Tasks | Tasks created, updated, completed, reopened, deleted | Entire network or selected boards |
Groups | Member added to or removed from a group | Entire network or selected groups |
Mentions | User mentioned in a post or comment | Entire network or selected groups |
Conversations | Conversations created, edited, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
Events | Events created, updated, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
Announcements | Announcements posted, edited, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
Polls | Polls created, updated, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
Questions | Questions posted, updated, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
Ideas | Ideas posted, edited, deleted | Entire network or selected groups |
How to edit a Webhook
- Click the gear icon and select Settings from the dropdown.
- Select Outgoing Webhook under Automation.
- Select the webhook you'd like to edit.
- In the pop-up, go to the bottom and click Edit Configuration.
- Make the required changes and Save.
How to delete a Webhook
- Go to Settings.
- Click Outgoing Webhook.
- Select the webhook you'd like to delete and click the trash icon.

To check usage:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Outgoing Webhook under Automation.You can see the usage details on the top-right corner.
