Overview

Events are a great way to keep track of all your appointments in one place. You can create events for team meetings, company-wide events, video conferences, ShowTime sessions, and personal commitments. 

User Roles in Events

A person in an event may have any one of the following roles:

Host: The person who creates an event.
Invitees: Invitees are members who get invited to an event to be a part of it. If enabled by the host, invitees can RSVP for the event.
Event Assistants: Assistants are members who get invited to observe, assist, and report about an event. They are similar to invitees, and will also receive notifications regarding the changes the host make to the event (like a change in location, start time or end time). They cannot, however, RSVP for an event.

Understanding the sections within Events   

In the extended left menu, you will find various tabs that list the Events.
All Events: This shows you all the events that you have created or invited to. This includes private events, company events, events from the Groups you belong to, and events from other groups that you are invited to.
Private Events: The following events will be displayed in the private events tab.
Events that you create for yourself or a specific set of people.
Events created privately by other members that you are invited to.
Events from groups that you are not a member of, but invited to.
Events where you have been added as an assistant.
Company Events: These are the events created at the network level. They get posted on the network wall, and all members of your network can view them. 
Group Events: Events that are created at a group level will be listed here. Click the group name from the left menu to view the events in that group.  

Types of views

Switch between the list view and calendar view any time you like, to suit your convenience. By default, Events will be displayed in the calendar view. To switch to another view:
  1. Go to the Events page.
  2. Select the required view (List, Month, and Week) from the top-right corner of the page.
      

Filters in Events

Use the filter option to view events from a particular event type. To filter events: 
  1. Click Events from the main menu in the left.
  2. Click the filter icon found in the top-right corner of the page. 
      
  1. From the dropdown, select the required event types and click Apply.
