This integration facilitates dynamic Group membership for every department and designation field in Zoho People. Every time a new member is added to a department or listed under a particular designation in Zoho People, they are automatically added to the respective Zoho Connect Group.

User data that are relevant to user profile fields in Zoho Connect will be synced. This includes name, seating location, work location, mobile number, date of birth, extension, work phone, nickname, gender,
designation, department,
and reporting-to information.

Users can perform web Check-in/check-out and apply leave from their respective Zoho Connect profile page.

Employee details such as Reporting to, Direct Reports, and Organization Hierarchy can also be viewed in Zoho Connect itself.
In a few instances, the configured Zoho People integration might not work as intended due to some errors. The following are the most common errors and the steps to resolve them.
1. Users not added in the Connect network
Error: Users added in the Zoho People organization have not been added to the Zoho Connect network.
Cause: The connection between Zoho People and Zoho Connect might have been deleted or broken due to misconfiguration.
Resolution: Disable and then enable the integration.
Steps:
- Click the plug icon from the menu in the right.
- From the list of integrations, click Zoho People.
- Toggle the button found in the top-right corner of the page to disable the integration.
- Toggle the same button again to enable the integration.
2. Error in syncing user profile details
Error: The user profile details are not synced between Zoho People and Zoho Connect.
Cause: The admin who has configured the integration may no longer be part of the network
Resolution: Delete the integration and then configure it again.
Steps:
- Click the plug icon from the menu in the right.
- From the list of integrations, click Zoho People.
- Click the trash icon found in the top-right corner of the page.
- Now, configure the integration by following the steps given here.
When you encounter any one of the above errors, a few user details might remain un-synced. Therefore, you can perform a one-time sync to make sure all the details have been updated.
To do this:
- Click the plug icon from the menu in the right.
- From the list of integrations, select Zoho People.
- Toggle the button found in the top-right corner of the page to disable the integration.
- Click on the same toggle button again to enable the integration.
- In the confirmation pop-out, check the box found next to Sync the existing user details in Zoho Connect and Zoho People.
