Getting started with Zoho Connect

What is Zoho Connect?

Zoho Connect is an employee intranet for businesses that unifies people, information, and tools they need to a single platform. Connect helps the entire organization to share ideas, hold real-time discussions, and work together.

This article covers the most simple, basic steps to help you get started with the platform.

Start a conversation

  1. Use the rich text editor on the top of your My Feeds page to make a Post. Keep everyone informed about your work or share your ideas and get inputs from co-workers.

Like and reply to a Post

  1. Like someone's post and let them know you are in agreement, or as a sign of appreciation or acknowledgement.
  2. Use comment to share your thoughts on the post.
  3. @mention someone in your comment to get their attention. Once you @mention a person, they will receive a notification.

Share a Post

  1. Click the share icon , to share the post with an individual or a Group.

Post view count

  1. Click the eye icon , in the bottom-right corner of the Post to get the list of people who have viewed your post.

Take Notes

  1. Click the Notes icon , in the bottom-right corner of the Post to take quick notes on the topic. These notes are found associated with the Post and hence are easy to find.
For detailed information on Notes, view this guide.

Follow co-workers

  1. Follow co-workers and the leaders in your company to view their posts in your feed. You will also receive a notification when they make a new post, making sure you don't miss anything important.
  1. To follow a person, hover above their name and click Follow.

Join a Group

  1. Groups are a great way to foster team discussions; they also double-up as a water cooler of sorts for teams to bond over shared interests. Groups come with a set of built-in apps that allow file and knowledge-sharing.

How to join a public Group?

  1. Select Groups in the left menu.
  2. Click Public Groups in the left menu to view the list of public Groups.
  3. Alternatively, click Discover Groups to view the Groups based on categories like recently created, most active, and most popular.
  4. Hover above the Group name and select Join
