Overview
The dashboard is a centralized place to view and share important information with all users in the network. With 50+ widgets, the dashboard is a great way to share news, images, links, and announcements and quickly access data from various modules in the network.
How does the dashboard in Zoho Connect work?
The dashboard has multiple widgets that bring all relevant happenings in the network to one place, so that users can stay updated without having to switch between multiple modules. It can also be used as a bulletin board to share important news, featured videos, and images. With dashboard, users can get a bird's eye view of everything important from the latest announcements to tasks assigned to them.
What is the personal dashboard?
In addition to bringing all important happenings in the company and the network to one place, individual users can create a bulletin board of everything that's relevant only to them using multiple widgets. Only the user will be able to access, edit, and customize their dashboard.
Each user will be allowed to create only one dashboard for themselves.
Widgets are the building blocks of the dashboard. Zoho Connect offers an array of drag and drop widgets using which you can customize the dashboard to suit your network's needs or personal needs and bring all the required information together.
The widgets in the network dashboard are broadly classified into two types: custom widgets and system widgets.
These widgets are fully-customizable and can be used to share static information with your network members using text, images, and videos. For example, using the gallery widget you can share images of the recent corporate event or team trip with all network members. And if you are using the gallery widget for your personal dashboard, you could upload a collection of art or design you've worked on or even a gallery of your pet's photos.
In system widgets, the details are auto-populated using the data in your network. The information available in system widgets varies from person to person. For example, the 'My Tasks' widget displays the list of tasks assigned to the individual who is viewing it.
Each system widget can be added to the dashboard only once. Whereas, a custom widget can be added multiple times.
Who can edit the dashboard?
By default, only the network admins can enable or disable, edit, and publish the dashboard. However, if allowed by the admins, selected users can also edit and add widgets to the dashboard.
Who can edit the personal dashboard?
