Overview

Zoho Connect enables you to limit how often an individual can send or receive a specific custom badge in the selected time frame. 

Sending limit: Limits the number of times a specific badge can be awarded in the selected time frame. For example, if the sending limit of the ‘Task Achiever’ badge is 10 per month, then each user in the network can send that badge 10 times each month. 

Receiving limit: Limits the number of times a specific badge can be received by a user in the selected time frame. For example, if the receiving limit of the ‘Employee of the Month’ badge is 1 per month, then an individual user can receive that badge only once each month. 

Who can set the limit for a custom badge? 

Only the network admins and users in a custom role that has permission to create and edit gamification elements can set the limit for a custom badge. 

How do I set limits while creating a new badge?

  1. Click the gear icon [] in the right menu.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown.

  3. In the Settings page, select Badges under Gamification.
  4. In the Badges page, click +Create Badge.
     
  5. In the pop-up, make sure the badge type is set as Custom.
  6. Provide a name, add a description, and upload an image for the badge.
  7. To restrict the number of times a badge can be awarded, toggle the button next to the Set awarding limit.
  8. Enter the number in the text input field and select the required time frame from the dropdown.
  9. To restrict the number of times a badge can be received, toggle the button found next to the Set receiving limit.
  10. Enter the number in the text input field and select the required time frame from the dropdown.
  11. Click Create

How do I set limits for an existing custom badge?

  1. Click the gear icon [] in the right menu.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown.

  3. In the Settings page, select Badges under Gamification.
  4. Scroll down to the required badge and click the ellipsis [...] in the right-end of the badge name. 
  5. Select Edit from the dropdown.
     
  6. In the pop-up, look for the option Set awarding limit and toggle the button next to it to restrict the number of times a badge can be awarded.
  7. Enter the number in the text input field and select the required time frame from the dropdown
  8. To restrict the number of times a badge can be received, look for the option Set receiving limit and toggle the button found next to it.
  9. Enter the number in the text input field and select the required time frame from the dropdown.
  10. Click Save.
