Overview
Gamification in Zoho Connect is built around the concept of recognizing peers for their skills and achievements, and rewarding employees for their contribution to the company's intranet. Gamification can help organizations keep their employees engaged and motivated, and also promotes a positive work culture.
Gamification has three elements: badges, points, and levels.
Badges: Badges are the easiest way of recognizing the achievements, skills, and efforts of your colleagues and showcasing their accomplishments to others in the team. You can award a 'Thank You' badge to a colleague who helped you with a difficult task to show your gratitude.
Points: Points are the scalable way of measuring members' participation in the organization's intranet. Network members earn points for every action they perform, like sharing a post or voting in a poll.
Levels: Levels are used to rank individuals based on the points they've earned. As members begin to accumulate points, they will effectively level up and gain new rankings, such as Beginner, Senior Member, and Pro User.
How to enable Gamification in the network
Network admins can choose whether they need Gamification in their network and can enable or disable the feature to suit their needs. To enable gamification:
- Click the gear icon [
] in the right menu.
- Select Settings from the dropdown.
- In the Settings page, click Manage Features under Apps and Features.
- From the list of features, scroll to Gamification, then toggle the button next to it.
Gamification Dashboard
The Gamification Dashboard shows all updates such as badges awarded/received by members in the group or network, users with highest numbers of badges. Users can also view their progress and total points earned in the dashboard's right-side panel.
To view Gamification Dashboard:
- Click Gamification in the main menu on the left.
- Or, if you can't find Gamification among the modules, click the ellipsis (...) at the bottom of the main menu on the left, then select Gamification from the list of options.
The details available in the Gamification Dashboard are as follows:
1. Current Progress
Displays the user's current positioning on the levels and total points earned so far.
2. My Badges
Lists the badges received by the user.
3. Most Recent Badge
Shows the latest badge received by the user.
4. All Badges
Shows all the badges users have awarded and received from different Groups.
5. Badges Received
Displays only the badges received by the user.
6. Badges Sent
Displays all the badges the user has awarded to someone else.
7. Filters
Options to filter and view badges awarded by a particular user or specific time frame.
8. Widgets Sections
Add widgets that give quick access to required Gamification information.
9. Manage Widgets
Option to create, enable and disabled widgets that has to be displayed in the widgets section.
