Viewing group insights in Zoho Connect

Feature availability


Overview  

This feature helps admins track engagement, activity, and growth within a group. It provides key data to understand how members interact and how the group is performing over time.
 

Who can view the group insights?

Only the group admins and network admins can view the group insights.
 

How to access group insights  ?

  1. Go to Groups.



  2. Select the group you'd like to view insights for.
  3. Click on the three dots icon near the group header. 



  4. From the dropdown, select Group Insights.



    In the pop-up, you'll see the group's details such as- Overall activity, Member stats, Engagement metrics, Audience engagement, Top Participants, Top Posts, Engagement graph, and weekly activity.

 

A brief on data shown in group insights

Overall activity and Member stats
Overall activity shows the total posts, reactions, comments, and comment reactions, while Member stats help you track active members, new joiners, and participation rates.




Engagement metrics
Here, you can view the engagement rate based on the user interaction in the group along with the sentiment meter that shows how this group is perceived from the members' perspective.

For sentiment meter, we use the data such as post reactions, comments, and comment replies.



Audience engagement

In this section, you can breakdown the audience engagement in the group with respect to Department, Designation, and Work Location data.



Top Participants and Top Posts

Users with highest activity along with their posts, comments, and reaction details will be shown in the Top Participants section. In Top Posts, the posts with maximum engagement (comments and reactions) will be listed along with the author's name on the right.

 


Engagement graph and Weekly activity

You can see the graph chart representation of the group's engagement and weekly activity to help you monitor the engagement rates better.



How to export the group insights

In cases where you need to have the group insights handy, it is best to have it exported to your device.
To export,
  1. Click on the three dots icon near the group header. 



  2. From the dropdown, select Group Insights.



  3. Click Export in the top-right corner.



  4. Choose your export options and click Export file.
