Starting a private conversation in Zoho Connect

Keep sensitive information under wraps by starting a private conversation with specific members or groups.

Who can start a private conversation?    

Network admins and group admins can control whether members can make start private conversations in network and group walls, respectively.

How do I start a private conversation?   

  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left. 
  3. Click the text in the post editor that says "What's on your mind right now?"
  4. Click the lock icon [] at the bottom-right part of the post editor. 

  5. Enter the members or groups you need to start the conversation with.

  6. Add a title if you need to, by clicking  in the top-right corner of the post editor. 
  7. Type out your message.
  8. Click Share.

Where can I find all my private conversations?

To view all your private conversations: 
  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left. 
  3. Switch to the Private tab from the listing found below the rich text editor. 

How do I manage members in a private conversation?   

You can add or remove users and groups from a private conversation by following the steps below.
  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left. 
  3. Switch to the Private tab found below the rich text editor.

  4. Navigate to the required private conversation. 
  5. Click add icon [] next to the stream title. 

  6. Search for and select users or groups from the dropdown to add them to the conversation. 
  7. To remove a user or group, hover above their name in the listing and click the remove button [].
