File attachments in Zoho Connect

Overview

You can attach documents from your desktop, Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho Docs, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and also, from the Files app within Zoho Connect. 
The maximum size limit is 10 MB per file for documents. You can attach up to 10 documents. The maximum size limit for a video file is 200 MB.

How to attach files from other cloud services?

When you use attach from other cloud services option for the first time, you'll need to verify your respective Google Drive/Dropbox/Box/OneDrive/Evernote accounts to browse and attach files from them. Once you complete this one-time authentication you can attach files from these services to your posts, comments, forums, manuals, and events.
To authenticate and attach files, follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left.
  3. Click "what's on your mind?" at the top of the Feeds page.
  4. Click the paper clip icon [] found in the bottom-left part of the rich text editor.
  5. Navigate to other cloud services.
  6. Select the preferred service (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and Evernote).
  7. Click Authenticate account.
          
  8. In the pop-out, enter the selected account details and click Allow.
  9. Once successfully authenticated, you can select the files listed in the service.
  10. Once you've selected the required files, click Attach.
  11. Attachments added can be previewed through our in-built viewer in both, the web and desktop apps.
In Tasks, the file attachment option is found in the bottom-left part of the Create New Task pop-out.  In Events, the file attachment option is found below the description box in the Create Event pop-out.

How to attach files from Zoho WorkDrive?

To attach files from Zoho WorkDrive, follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left.
  3. Click "what's on your mind?" at the top of the Feeds page.
  4. Click the paper clip icon [] found in the bottom-left part of the rich text editor.
  5. In the pop-out, navigate to Zoho WorkDrive.
  6. Select the required file and click Pick.
  7. You can also select a folder with a maximum of 10 files in it.
  8. In the new pop-out, select who can access the file from the given options.
  9. Once selected, files will get uploaded.
Once posted, files shared from Zoho WorkDrive, can be viewed in WorkDrive by clicking the 'View File' option or the file icon.

How to attach files from Zoho Connect's Files app?

  1. Log in to your Zoho Connect network.
  2. Click Feeds in the main menu on the left.
  3. Click "what's on your mind?" at the top of the Feeds page.
  4. Click the paper clip icon [] found in the bottom-left part of the rich text editor.
  5. In the pop-out, select  From Files.
  6. From the dropdown, select a Group if you want to browse through the attachments posted in a particular Group.
  7. Select the file you want.
  8. Toggle the Insert as button to select how you would like to share the files.
  9. Click Upload.

      
You do not have to authenticate your account to attach files from Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho Docs and Zoho Connect's Files app.

Audio files: .ogg, .mp3, .wav, .wav, .ogg, .mp4, .webm, .mov, .m4v, .mkv, .ogg, .3gpp
Video files: .ogg, .mp4, .webm, .quicktime, .x-m4v, .x-matroska, .ogg, .mp4, .webm, .quicktime, .x-m4v, .3gpp, .x-msvideo, .x-flv, .x-ms-asf
Documents: doc, rtf, odt, docm, dot, dotm, dotx
Powerpoint files: pptx, ppt, pps, ppsx
Spreadsheet files: xls, xlsx

The whiteboard allows you to create a simple visual representation such as a basic flow, from scratch.
