Adding voice notes in Zoho Connect

Overview 

The Voice Notes feature in Zoho Connect enables you to record and add audio recordings to posts and comments for more expressive and engaging communication within your organization.

Who can add voice notes?  

All users in the network can add voice notes.

How do I add a voice note in a post?  

  1. Login to your Zoho Connect network. 
  2. Click What's on your mind?  on the top of the Feeds page and compose the post like you'd usually do. 
  3. Click the mic icon [] to the right side of post formatting options in the rich text editor. 

  4. If prompted, grant the necessary permissions to access your device's microphone.
  5. In the Voice Note pop-out, click the mic button to start recording. Click pause button to pause the recording temporarily and continue in some time. Or, click Stop button to completely stop the recording. 

  6. After the recording is processed, click Add to include the voice note in the post. Otherwise, click Add as attachment to include it as a attachment to the post. 
You can see the voice note added to the post. You can continue to type content or share the post. 

How do I add a voice note in a comment?  

  1. Navigate to the required post. 
  2. Open the comment editor. 
  3. Click the mic icon [] to the right side of formatting options. 

  4. If prompted, grant the necessary permissions to access your device's microphone if prompted.
  5. In the Voice Note pop-out, click the mic button to start recording. Click pause button to pause the recording temporarily and continue in some time. Or, click Stop button to completely stop the recording. 

  6. After the recording is processed, click Add to include the voice note in the comment. Otherwise, click Add as attachment to include it as a attachment to the comment. 


Entities supported

The option to add voice notes is available in the following Zoho Connect entities: Feeds, tasks, events, articles, forums, town halls, and ideas. 

Limitations

Currently, the voice notes option is not available in the mobile apps. The voice notes added using the web app will be available only as an attachment in mobile apps. We're working on native recording and playback option which will be available in a few months.
