Overview

Arcade is available in the Tasks module in Zoho Connect, and is created with a sporty approach. This feature allows members to earn points for performing certain activities in the tasks module, such as creating a task, changing task status, and assigning a task to someone. Arcade helps organizations to encourage their employees to complete tasks with more enthusiasm.

How to enable Arcade in boards?
  1. Go to the Tasks module.
  2. Select the ellipses dropdown from the top-right corner of the tasks page.
  3. Select the Settings option.
  1. In the setting pop-up, navigate to advanced section and enable Arcade.
After you enable arcade, a badge icon() will be displayed in the boards header section. 

How to create a game in Boards?

  1. Once you enable Arcade from the advanced settings, click the badge icon () on the right side of the boards header section.
  2. Click the Create game button.

  3. In the pop-up, enter the game title, duration, and points for each board activity. In default, all activities will have zero points, which you can change into any number you want.
    You can also add points and a description for a specific task status using the advanced option. This is optional.
      
  4. Select Create.
You can create games only on the boards where Arcade is enabled.

How to start a game in Arcade?

  1. Click the badge icon () on the boards header section.
  2. From the dropdown, select the game you would like to start immediately.

  3. In the pop-up, click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner, and select Start game.

You can only start a game that is scheduled.

Who can create a game and how many games can be created on a board?
Only admins can create a game on boards. There are no restrictions on creating a game on a board; you can create as many as you want.

What will happen after you create a game?
Once a game is created, based on the activities done by the members of the board, points will be added to the table. The leaderboard will be updated every time a new activity occurs on the board.

Where is the list of games?

In the task module, select Arcade from the extended menu. You can see the ongoing, upcoming, and finished games in this page.

 

How to end a game in Boards?

  1. In the task module, select Arcade from the extended menu.
  2. From the list of games, select the game you want to end.

  3. In the pop-up, click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner, then select end game.


What will happen after you end a game?

After a game ends, the top three players' names and their points will be displayed as a post in the feeds section.

You can find more information about the game by clicking the View Details button.

How to delete a game from boards?

  1. Go to the Arcade section from the tasks extended menu.
  2. Select a game you want to download the stats, and three dots (...) in the top-right corner.
     

  3. Select delete.


How to export the statistics of a game?

  1. Go to the Arcade section from the tasks extended menu.
  2. Select a game you want to download the stats for, then click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner.


  3. Choose an export option, then click Export.

  1. You will receive a notification in a few seconds when the download is ready. Click the notification to complete exporting the game data.

When you click the notification, a zip folder will be downloaded with .txt and .json files.

How to disable a Arcade in Boards?

  1. Go to the Tasks module.
  2. Select the ellipses dropdown from the top-right corner of the tasks page.

  3. Select the Settings option.

  4. In the setting pop-up, navigate to advanced section and disable Arcade.

Only admins can disable this option from a board.
