Board templates in Zoho Connect
What is a board?
A Board is a centralized space to manage work plans—be it a personal to-do list or something that involves the entire team. You can divide work into sections and assign tasks to them. All tasks within a board can be viewed by all the board members.
For example, if your team is working on a new website, then you can create a board with sections for SEO, Content, Design, and HTML, and assign it to your board members. You can assign tasks, set priority levels, trigger reminders, and start conversations and share files within a task.
What is a board template?
When your team works on multiple projects that are similar in nature, you sometimes end up re-creating your workflows again. For example, if you are a publishing company doing book launches, you may end up creating the same workflow for each launch. Instead of re-doing this every time, you can now save your existing board as a template and use it later.
Who can create a board template?
Only the admin of the board can create a board template.
Board templates can be created only in Zoho Connect's paid plans.

How to create a board template?
- Click Tasks in the left navigation pane.
- Open the board you would like to use as a template.
- Click the menu with the three dots in the top-right corner of the board.
- From the drop-down, click Settings.
- In the new pop-out, move to the Advanced tab.
- Click Save as template.
- Check the items you'd like to use in your template and click Save Template.
How to use your saved template as a board?
- Click Tasks in the left navigation pane.
- Click the horizontal three dots in the bottom-left, next to the New Board button.
- From the drop-down, select View Templates.
- Click Create Board, next to the template you'd like to use as a board.
How to delete a board template?
- Click Tasks in the left navigation pane.
- Click the horizontal three dots in the bottom-left, next to the New Board button.
- From the drop-down, select View Templates.
- Open the template you want to delete.
- Click the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner of the template.
- Click Settings.
- Open the Advanced tab and click Delete board template.
