Following Tasks in Zoho Connect

Overview  

Board members except assignees and the task creator can follow a task to receive notifications and keep track of its progress.
A task can be followed by either one of the following ways:
  1. Users can themselves follow a task to receive updates. 
  2. The task creator and board admins can add other users as followers to keep them notified of the task's progress.

What tasks can a user follow?

Board members can follow or be added as followers to tasks that are neither assigned to them or created by them. 

How can users themselves follow and unfollow a task ?  

Board members who are not following the board can follow specific tasks in the Board to receive updates on it. To do this: 
  1. Click Tasks from the menu in the left.
  2. Navigate to the required Board and task.
  3. Click the Task to open Task details.
  4. To follow, click the  icon found in the top-right corner of Task details pop-out.
          
  1. To unfollow, Click the  icon found in the top-right corner of Task details pop-out.

How to add other users as followers to a task? 

Board admins and the task creator can add followers to a task by following the steps below: 
  1. Click Tasks from the main menu in the left. 
  2. Navigate to the required Board and task.
  3. Click the Task to open Task details.
  4. Click Add Followers found in the right part of the pop-out.  
           
  1. From the list of users, search for the required user by their name and click next to their name. 
           

How to remove followers from a task? 

  1. Click Tasks from the main menu in the left. 
  2. Navigate to the required Board and task.
  3. Click the Task to open Task details.
  4. In the pop-out, locate the Followers section and click + to view the list of users. 
  5. From the list of users, search and click ✔️ found next to the name of the follower you'd like to remove.
           

What happens once a user is added as a task follower? 

The user will receive a notification stating they have been added as a follower. Following that, they will be notified whenever there is an update or activity in the task.
