Restricting who can change a specific task status

Feature Availability

Overview
As a board admin and moderator, you can decide who can change the status of a specific task so that only the right people can update completed tasks.
For example, let’s say there’s a status called UI Provided. The task creator can allow only the UI Team to move a task to this status once the UI is ready. Others won’t be able to change this status.
NotesBoard admins can still change task status even when the custom permissions are set.

To set up restricted permission to task status:

  1. Go to board Settings.

  2. From the pop-up, go to the Customization tab.

  3. Navigate to the Status section.

  4. Click the three dots on the right side of the status you'd like to restrict permissions for.

  5. From the dropdown, select Permissions.

  6. Search for and select users who can change that particular status and click Done.

InfoWhen you add permissions to a task status, a key icon will appear on that task status. You can add or remove users at any time.
