Configuring a section action to move tasks to another board in Zoho Connect
Overview of Section Actions
Automate recurring steps for the tasks within the section of your board by configuring section actions. Users can apply a set of actions, like assigning tasks to specific members, setting the due date or priority level to the tasks added to a section. Once these are configured, it will be automatically applied to all new tasks added to this section. They can also choose to apply these settings to the existing tasks in the section.
Section actions can be configured only if you are subscribed to Zoho Connect's enterprise plan.
Moving tasks to another board
Configure this section action to automatically transfer tasks in the specific section to another section in another board.
Who can configure the action of moving tasks to another board?
Any member who has the permission to create a section within this board can configure this action.
How to configure the action of moving tasks to another board?
- Click Tasks from the menu in the left.
- Open the board and navigate to the section you'd like to configure this action for.
- Click the inverted triangle that appears when you hover above the section.
- From the dropdown, select Actions.
- Click + Add actions.
- From the list of actions, select Move to another board.
- From the list of boards you belong to, select a board and a section that you'd like to move tasks to.
- Once you are done, click Apply.
What happens when you configure this section action?
Once you set this up, tasks dragged and dropped or moved to this section will be automatically transferred to the specified section in the selected board. In case you've checked the Apply this to existing tasks option while configuring, tasks previously created in this section will also be moved. However, this does not apply to new tasks created after the action has been set up. Once the tasks are moved, they will be automatically removed from the existing section.
