Host controls and managing a live session

Overview

As a host, you have complete control over your video town hall. You can manage the session, start and end the event, update details, manage attendees, control recordings, and much more.

As a host, you can:
  • Start and end the session
  • Edit the session details like name, description, attendees, and tags.
  • Mute panelists
  • Stop recording
  • Delete the session
  • View participants count
  • Pin messages
  • Share your screen
  • Export session details

 

To end the session:

  1. Click the End call button at the center-bottom.



  2. In the confirmation pop-up, select End.


 

To share screen:

Click the Screen share icon in the center-bottom.



In the pop-up, choose the window you want to present and click Share.


To stop recording of the session:

  1. Click the three dots icon at the bottom-center.
  2. Click Stop recording from the extending menu.



  3. In the pop-up, click Stop.

 

To change the audience:

  1. Click the info icon on the top-right corner.



  2. Click the three dots icon and select Manage from the dropdown.



  3. In the pop-up, change the audience as you want and click Update.

 

Notes

In the same pop-up, you can edit the session name, description, and tags.

 

To export town hall details:

  1. Click the info icon on the top-right corner.



  2. Click the three dots icon and select Export Town Hall from the dropdown.



  3. In the pop-up, click View Fields to choose the data you'd like to export.



    Click All to select all the fields at once.



  4. Choose whether you'd like to set a password or not and click Export.



Notes

You'll receive an in-app notification once the export file is ready. Select Click here to download it.


Deleting the town hall

To delete the town hall,
  1. Click the info icon on the top-right corner.



  2. Click the three dots icon and select Delete from the dropdown.



  3. In the confirmation pop-up, select Delete this Town Hall.

  

Archiving the town hall
Move completed town hall sessions to an archive for a cleaner, organized space.

To archive a town hall,
  1. Go to Town Hall from the left menu.



  2. Select the town hall you'd like to archive.
  3. Click the info icon on the top-right corner.



  4. Click the three dots icon and select Archive from the dropdown.


Info- Once you archive a town hall, it'll be moved to archived town halls section.

To access archived town halls,

  1. Go to Town Hall from the left menu.



  2. Click the three dots icon in the bottom-left of the extended menu.



  3. Select Archived Town Hall.
