Subscribe to the notifications bot and receive real-time alerts on Cliq whenever there is a new activity in your Connect network. 

What is Zoho Cliq? 

Zoho Cliq is a chat-based team collaboration software that allows you to have one-on-one chat with another user, and group chat with several users using a channel. The chat in Zoho Connect is powered by Zoho Cliq.

Who can subscribe to the Notifications Bot? 

To start receiving notifications on chat for activities in Connect, the Cliq admin needs to install the Notifications Bot. Once installed, any member can use the bot to receive alerts.

Who can install the Notifications Bot?

Only the Cliq admin, regardless of their role in Connect, can install the Notifications Bot. However, once installed, any member can use the bot to configure alerts in their chat. 

How can the admin install the Notifications Bot?

  1. In Connect, click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header.
            
  1. From the menu, select Notification Preferences.
            
  1. In the pop-out, click Install and Subscribe seen next to Bot notifications on Cliq.
            
 The 'Install and Subscribe' option is visible only to the Cliq admin regardless of their user role in Connect. 

How can users subscribe to the Notifications Bot?

  1. In Connect, click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header. 
  2. From the menu, select Notification Preferences.
           
  1. In the pop-out, toggle the button seen next to Bot notifications on Cliq. 
          
  1. If you are a first-time subscriber, select the required option in the autofill preferences pop-out.
  2. Once subscribed, use the checkboxes to select the activities for which you'd like to receive alerts on Cliq.
In case the notifications bot is not installed yet, you can use the request option found in the same pop-out, and send a request to your Cliq admin. Once they install it, you will receive a message in your chat. Following this, you can subscribe and start receiving alerts on Cliq.

How can Cliq admin uninstall the Notifications Bot?

Uninstalling this bot can be done from Cliq's extension page only. In the extensions page, search for 'Zoho Connect' and click uninstall.  Read, how to uninstall Extensions from a Cliq organization.

Is Notifications Bot available in External Networks? 

Yes, the Notification Bot is available in External Networks. However, the user should be a part of a Cliq organization with Connect Bot installed in it. 
In case you are on Cliq's free plan, and have exceeded the maximum limit of 10 extensions, please disable any one of your existing extensions and then install the Notifications Bot.
