Zoho Contracts comes with predefined templates for Amendment Letters, Extension Letters, Renewal Letters, and Termination Letters. You can also customize these templates to suit your requirements.
Contract letter templates in Zoho Contracts are quite different from conventional document templates. Conventional templates only provide a skeletal structure of the document where members can fill in the necessary information or contextually edit the content to make it complete. Whereas in Zoho Contracts, when a user amends a contract by making changes to a few clauses in the contract, the amendment letter that gets generated automatically captures the changes made to the contract.
This near elimination of human intervention in document generation makes the life cycle management of post-execution contracts extremely simple. Your team can put the time that they would otherwise lose in documentation to better use. This capability in templates is applicable for Renewal, Extension, and Termination, as well.
The Whereas clause in the letter templates is a clause intended to provide the necessary context about the agreement for readers. When you amend, renew, or extend a contract, the Whereas clause automatically captures the history of all the past amendments, renewals, and extensions of a contract, along with the original agreement.
The Now Therefore clause in the Amendment letter template captures the changes made to the agreement in the current amendment. Similarly, the changes made to the contract term period will be captured in the Now Therefore clause in the Renewal and Extension letter templates.
