Negotiation Settings
Set Negotiation Applicability
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure negotiation.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Choose Yes to enable negotiation or No to disable it in the Is negotiation applicable section, then click Save.
Note: If negotiation is set to No, contracts of this type will move directly from draft/approved to signature without a negotiation phase.
Allow Contract Owners to Skip Negotiation
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to allow contract owners to skip negotiation.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Choose Yes for Is negotiation applicable? in the General section.
- Check the Allow contract owners to skip negotiation checkbox, then click Save.
Note: The Allow contract owners to skip negotiation checkbox is available only when Is negotiation applicable? is set to Yes. Choosing No hides the checkbox, since negotiation does not apply to contracts of this type at all.
Set Negotiation Password Delivery Modes
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure negotiation password delivery modes.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Choose the required delivery modes in the Negotiation Password Delivery Modes section, then click Save.
Note:
- At least one delivery mode must be selected.
- The Default Delivery Mode must be one of the enabled delivery modes.
Set Default Negotiation Password Delivery Mode
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure negotiation password delivery modes.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Choose the required delivery mode in the Default Delivery Mode section, then click Save.
Set Collaborative Negotiation Options
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure collaborative negotiation options.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Choose one of the following options in the Collaborative Negotiation Options to control how contract owners can do when resending the contract without editing it to a clean copy while it is in the In Negotiation –Review Received status:
- Allow editing in track changes mode with suggestions and new comments
- Allow only new comments and replies to counterparty comments
- Allow only replies to counterparty comments to seek or provide clarification
- Click Save.
Enable Offline Negotiation
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to allow upload externally negotiated document.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Check the Allow users to upload externally negotiated documents checkbox in the Offline Negotiation section, then click Save.
Allow Counterparty to Request New Negotiators
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure negotiator actions.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Check the Allow counterparty primary contact to request the contract owner to add new negotiators checkbox in the Negotiator Actions section, then click Save.
Note:
- When enabled, the counterparty's primary contact can send a request to the contract owner to include additional negotiators from their side. The contract owner retains the final approval to add them.
- If you stop processing the counterparty contact details, you cannot add those counterparty contacts as negotiators. For more information, see Stop Data Processing of Counterparty Contact.
Allow Negotiators to Download the Contract
- Select the Admin tab at the top of the page.
- Select Contract Types from the left panel.
- Click to open the contract type that you want to configure negotiators actions.
- Select Contract Settings at the top of the contract type details page.
- Select Negotiation under Contract Settings.
- Check the Allow negotiators to download the contract document and its versions checkbox in the Negotiator Actions section, then click Save.
Note: When enabled, negotiators can download the current contract document and its previous versions.
