Installing Zoho Contracts Extension in Zoho CRM

Overview  

The Zoho CRM integration with Zoho Contracts enables your sales team to close more deals faster by significantly reducing contract cycle times.

With this integration, salespeople can initiate new contract requests directly from a deal or potential record in Zoho CRM and track the contract's status from the Zoho Contracts section in the record's related list. They can also download the contract document or send it to the associated account as an email attachment in Zoho CRM.

 Install the Zoho Contracts Extension  in Zoho CRM

  1. Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
  2. Click Settings  in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Select Zoho from the Marketplace section.

  4. Click Setup under the Zoho Contracts extension, then click Install.

  5. Choose the user profiles you want to enable the extension for, then click Confirm.

 

Once the Zoho Contracts extension is installed, a Request Contract button will be displayed on a potential's details page in Zoho CRM.

 

Notes

Note: 

  • Users with profiles that you selected during the installation will be able to initiate new contract requests for a deal or potential in Zoho CRM.

  • To customize the Zoho CRM user profiles' access to the Zoho Contracts extension, click Configure on the installed Zoho Contracts extension in Zoho CRM and then click the Change Permission option on the Extension Details page.

  • The extension settings can be configured after installation from the Zoho Contracts - Settings page. Just click Settings at the top-right of the Extension Details page. If you don't complete this configuration, users won't be able to initiate a contract request.


  Configure Extension Settings  

  1. Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
  2. Click Settings  in the top-right corner of the page.

  3. Select Zoho from the Marketplace section, then select Zoho Contracts.

  4. Click Settings at the top-right corner of the Extension Details page.

  5. Set the values for each option and map the fields in each section listed below, then click Save.

 

General 

The table below explains the options in the General section of the Zoho Contracts - Settings page.

 
 Option
 Description
 Counterparty Type
 The category of the counterparty who your organization is entering into a contract with (e.g. Customer).
 Requester Department
 The department in your organization which the CRM users who are initiating the contract belong to   (e.g. Sales).


Counterparty Field Mapping 

The table below explains the counterparty fields in the Counterparty Fields Mapping section of the Zoho Contracts - Settings page. You will need to map these fields with Zoho CRM Accounts module fields to add the account as a counterparty in Zoho Contracts.

 Counterparty Name
 The name of the counterparty who your organization is entering into a contract with (e.g. Account   Name).

 Street Address

 Apt./Suite/Bldg

 City

 State

 Zip Code

 Country


 The address of the counterparty that you will use in the agreement document and for other contract-   related purposes and communications.

Notes

Note:

  • A counterparty is any company or individual who you enter into an agreement and make a contract with.

  • The Apt./Suite/Bldg field only applies to counterparties based in the US.

 Counterparty Contact Field Mapping 

The table below explains the counterparty contact fields in the Counterparty Contact Fields Mapping section of the Zoho Contracts - Settings page. You will need to map these fields with Zoho CRM Contacts module fields to add the contact as a counterparty contact in Zoho Contracts.

 Description
 Contact Name
 The name of the contact in the counterparty who you will have contract-related communications with.
 Contact Email Address
 The email address of the contact in the counterparty who you will have contract-related   communications with.


Based on the field mapping that you configure, the deal or potential's field values in Zoho CRM will be populated automatically in Zoho Contracts during contract requests.

 

 Other 

  • You can choose the contract types to request from Zoho CRM through the configurations you make in the Other section on the Zoho Contracts - Settings page.

  • The Assign Request To dropdown for the chosen contract type will let you assign the contracts created with that contract type to a contract owner configured in Zoho Contracts.

  • You can map your chosen contract type fields with the corresponding fields in Zoho CRM's Deals module.

  • The unmapped field values of the chosen contract type will be empty in the requested contract. You can fill in those values later in Zoho Contracts.

Can I upload a signed and active contract in the form of PDF?
