5. Can I create contracts with past effective dates in Zoho Contracts?
No, it is not possible to create contracts with past effective dates in Zoho Contracts. Also, backdating contracts can be considered fraudulent, potentially constitute tax evasion or fraud, violate specific laws and regulations, and have other legal consequences, which can vary based on the jurisdiction and applicable laws.

7. What are the contract term options available in the Zoho Contracts?
There are two contract term options available in Zoho Contracts. One is Definite, and the other is Indefinite. The Definite term has predetermined start and end dates expiring based on the specific dates or the term mentioned in months/years since execution, or the contract ends on a condition, event, or fulfillment of an order or service. In contrast, an Indefinite contract does not have a fixed end date and can be closed by terminating the contract.
8. Is it possible to set the effective and end dates for a contract?
Yes, it is possible to set the effective and end dates based on the contract term you have selected. If you select the contract term as Definite, you can set both the Effective and End dates. However, if you select the contract term as Indefinite, you will be able to set the Effective date only.
9. Is there a way to track changes and revisions in contracts?Yes, Zoho Contracts offers version control, enabling you to track changes made to contracts over time. You can review previous versions, ensuring transparency and accountability in contract revisions. For more information, see

10. What is the difference between Revisions and Agreement History?
Revisions track changes made to the actual content of the contract document over time. It provides a detailed history of modifications, additions, or deletions within the contract terms, whereas the Agreement History lists all the signed documents with the respective certificates, such as the original contract, subsequent renewals, and amendments.
11. What do the Renewal Details of a contract mean?The Renewal Details section in Zoho Contracts provides information about the contract's renewability, renewal type, renewal term, and any other relevant details related to the contract's renewal. For more information, see

12. What are the renewal types available in Zoho Contracts?
There are two renewal options available in Zoho Contracts. One is Manual, and the other is Evergreen. Manual requires user intervention for renewal, while Evergreen enables automatic renewal at the end of the contract term.
13. Can I change the renewal settings for an existing contract?
You are allowed to change the renewal settings during the Draft mode. Apart from the draft mode, you cannot change the renewal settings for existing contracts in Zoho Contracts.
14. Do I get renewal reminders?
Yes, you can receive renewal reminders in Zoho Contracts based on the expiration reminder days you have set in the contract, ensuring that you never miss important contract deadlines.
15. When are Financial Details applicable?
The Financial Details are applicable if the contract type's intent is either Buy or Sell. For example, if you have set the intent of your sales-related contract type's intent as Sell, then contracts of this contract type require financial details.
16. How can I make certain contracts visible to a specific user?You can make a contract visible to a specific user by adding them as a collaborator and sharing them with the View Only permission. For more information, see

17. After signing, where can I find the signed copy of the contract?
Once the signing process is finished, you can locate the signed contract document in the Agreement History section and have the option to download the document.

19. Can I delete a signed or active contract?
No, you cannot delete a contract document when the contract is either in the Signed or Active state. However, you can delete a contract document once it has been terminated or expired.
