Initiating Contract Requests from Zoho CRM

Overview


Zoho CRM integration with Zoho Contracts enables your sales team to close more deals faster by significantly reducing the contract cycle times. 


With this integration, salespeople can initiate new contract requests directly from the deal/potential record in Zoho CRM and track the contracts' statuses from the Zoho Contracts section in the respective records' related list. They can also download the contract document and send it as an email attachment to the account in Zoho CRM.

Initiate a Contract Request from CRM 

  1. Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
  2. Select the Deals/Potentials tab at the top of the page. 
  3. Click to open the potential you want to initiate the contract request for. 
  4. Click Request Contract on the record details page. 
  5. Enter the details in the Request Contract form, then click Send


The contract request will be sent to Zoho Contracts, and a PDF document of the contract will be available in Zoho CRM. The account in CRM will be automatically added as a counterparty in Zoho Contracts with all the details, and a contract will be created. The created contract will be auto-assigned to a contract owner based on the assignment configuration you set at the time of the extension installation.  


You can download the document from Zoho CRM or send the document as an email attachment to the contact associated with the potential's account. Users can also add other recipients in the mail composer. 


Notes
Note:
  1. The contract document will be available in the potential records' Attachments section in Zoho CRM. 
  2. If the admin has not completed the Zoho Contracts extension settings configuration, the users will not be able to initiate a contract request.  
  3. If the Zoho CRM fields that are mapped to Zoho Contracts in the extension settings are empty, the contract document generated in Zoho Contracts will not have those values. 

Track the Status of a Contract in CRM

  1. Log into your Zoho CRM account.
  2. Select the Deals/Potentials tab at the top of the page. 
  3. Click to open the potential you want to check the contract status in. 
  4. View the status in the Zoho Contracts section from the related list of the potential.
